To identify which district you live in click here. ) THE PROBLEM: Not a single one of California’s 53 members of the United States House of Representatives has raised his or her voice above a whisper to champion the Constitutional remedy for an out-of-control executive branch: Impeachment.
TOWARD A SOLUTION: Now, in some 20 districts statewide, pro-impeachment candidates are stepping forward to challenge those passive incumbents. If you live in one of the districts below, you can vote for a pro-impeachment candidate for the US House of Representatives, in either the June 3 statewide congressional primary or in the November 2008 general election. Some of these candidates' names will appear on the ballot; other candidates will be running write-in campaigns, and to vote for one of them you will have to physically write her or his name onto the ballot. If you have an interest in joining the California Impeachment Slate as a pro-impeachment, write-in candidate, please contact us. The process is almost shockingly simple: ten minutes of paperwork, the collecting of the signatures of 40 voters, and there is absolutely no financial cost. We’re shooting for one candidate (or more) in every district. Would that be you? Or anyone you know? (NOTE: Pro-impeachment candidates often disagree on many other issues.
